Renewable Energy Siting Service

Technology / Service Summary

We use spatial information analysis to spatially and integratively analyze local natural and socio-economic data to investigate evidence-based development possibilities, select appropriate areas for renewable energy development, and formulate efficient power distribution plans.

Purpose

・Geographic analysis of areas suitable for power generation such as solar, wind power and so on.
・Identify areas with electricity demand and develop a basic plan for electricity distribution.
・Survey of renewable energy facilities.

Feature

We will produce and integrate geographic data (topography and elevation, aerial and satellite imagery, urban planning information, meteorology, and ecosystems) that influence the selection and location of energy sources in the target countries, and evaluate the development potential of renewable energy through spatial analysis of local natural and socioeconomic conditions.
In the preparing of geographic data, we will use our experience in foreign geographic information mainly from ASEAN countries, and our proprietary AI technology to automatically interpret solar panels from aerial/satellite imageries.

Effect

・Obtaining objective statistics on the installation status of renewable energy facilities in the target country.
・Increasing the amount of solar, wind, hydro-geothermal, etc. power generation.
・Efficient and integrated energy network construction through network analysis of power generation and demand areas.
