Technology / Service Summary
With our experience as a representative participant in JCM projects, we provide support in the formulation and implementation of projects to introduce renewable energy and energy-saving equipment.
Purpose
Japan establishes and implements the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) in order both to appropriately evaluate Japanese contributions to GHG emission reductions or removals in a quantitative manner achieved through diffusion of decarbonizing technologies, products, systems, services, and infrastructure as well as implementation of mitigation actions in developing and other countries, and to use them to achieve Japan’s emission reduction target.
Feature
As the representative participant of the JCM Model Projects, we are in charge of case building, project application to the Ministry of the Environment (MOE), Japan, project progress management, and financial support application procedures, etc. After the completion of the JCM Model Project, we will provide support for work related to the issuance of JCM credits.
Effect
・Up to half of the initial investment costs can be covered by financial support
・Costs of installing low-carbon equipment and facilities can be reduced
・Companies can promote environmental initiatives and improve public image
