Steel Formwork for Precast Concrete

Technology / Service Summary

Formwork from concrete products produced in factories for construction and civil engineering using metals such as iron.

Purpose

It (Steel Formwork) is used for molding precast concrete (PCa) (concrete products manufactured at factories), which is expected to reduce the environmental load.

Feature

Compared to conventional wooden formwork, steel formwork the price is higher, but it has excellent durability and diversion, and it is possible to achieve high recycling. In the case of wood, it is possible that forest resources will be depleted, and CO2 will be emitted by incineration at the time of disposal, but iron and stainless steel can always be recycled, so the environmental burden can be suppressed.

Effect

PCa can reduce CO2, Nox, Sox and soot and dust emissions depending on the raw materials, and especially in Indonesia, which has a tropical climate, suppressing steam curing has the effect of reducing Sox and soot and dust emissions. Steel formwork is also suitable for promoting the utilization of PCa, which is expected to have environmental effects.
