Non-fossil fuel based methane gas recovery and liquefaction technology

Technology / Service Summary

Biogas generation and liquefaction technology by anaerobic fermentation of livestock / agricultural waste and municipal waste

Purpose

To liquefy non-fossil based methane gas, such as biogas and hot spring gas, which are distributed in areas where pipeline networks are not well developed in order to reduce methane leak to the atmosphere. Recovered methane gas is liquefied and utilized as a zero-emission fuel using a high-efficiency micro LNG plant (with capacity of few thousand tons per year).

Feature

Efficient separation of CO2 contained in biogas by a membrane and a three-phase separator without using an amine solution.

Effect

30% CAPEX saving compared to ordinary technology with amine solution.
