Optimization of Green Hydrogen Overall System

Technology / Service Summary

A system consisting of storage batteries, water electrolyzers, compressors, storage tanks, and fuel cells will be constructed to improve the utilization of renewable energy in smart cities.

Purpose

To establish Smart City with renewable energies, balancing of energy demand is required with renewable energies, battery and hydrogen.

Feature

Renewable energies will be variable, and some of them are surplus, which can be converted to hydrogen by water electrolysis, and stored as buffer and utilized to generate electricity when electricity balance is in short.

Effect

Water electrolyzer can provide a function of Demand Response into the power grid. Hydrogen can be stored for long time without loss at large volume in tank, and provide heat and electricity when required. It is applicable at the time of emergency and disaster.
