Joint Crediting Mechanism(JCM)

Technology / Service Summary

JCM is a programme that provides financial support for renewable energy projects and energy-saving equipment, and shares GHG emission reductions from the project.

Purpose

1 is to financially support the implementation of projects which can reduce GHG emissions by using leading decarbonizing technologies in partner countries.
2 is to acquire JCM credits for achievement of Japan’s GHG emission and Partner’s country reduction target.

Feature

This programme covers the costs of equipment ,which directly contributes to energy-related CO2 emission reductions up to 50%.

Effect

1.Specific contribution methods to the green house gas emission reduction targets of each country set forth in COP26.
2.Reducing your investment fee.

We have 2 JCM projects in Southeast Asia.
One is " 106 MW solar power project in An Giang Province , Vietnam.(2019,2020)
The other is "Introduction of 0.8MW Solar Power System and High Efficiency Refrigerator to Food Factor in Thailand."(2018)
