Hydrogen and Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) Synthesis Using the Direct Methane Reforming (DMR) Method

Technology / Service Summary

TODA KOGYO focuses to the DMR (Direct Methane Reforming) method producing hydrogen
and solid carbon material from hydrocarbon such as methane, and work on developing
an efficient production process which produce CNTs by using a high activity iron catalyst.
The CNTs have better dispersibility than other companies’ products and are expected to become high functional materials.

Purpose

①Providing a hydrogen production process that can produce CO2-free hydrogen with high efficiency
②Providing high-added-value multi-walled carbon nanotubes using catalysts and process technologies in the DMR method

Feature

Feasible DMR method using our proprietary high-performance iron oxide catalyst

Effect

①Providing CO2-free hydrogen
②Providing high-added-value multi-walled carbon nanotubes
