Raman Spectrometer (XploRA PLUS)

Technology / Service Summary

The XploRA PLUS incorporates unique functions that can do image analysis and structural analysis, suited to research and analytical labs.

Purpose

Identification of microplastic types and estimation of their origin.

Feature

We have a series of applications for the study of microplastics, many of which are being used globally.
Examples : ParticleFinder, which automates Raman data manipulation and results; MVA Plus, which determines the similarity of components in microplastics; KnowItAll(TM), a spectral database that can identify particles consisting of various substances, etc.

Effect

Identifying the types of microplastics and estimating their origin can contribute to the development of policies and procedures to control the amount of microplastics introduced into the ecosystem.
