Technology / Service Summary

The vertical stoker-type incinerator, “Vertical Combustor,” uses Plantec’s proprietary method of stacking waste thickly and supplying minimal primary air (λ ≤ 0.5).

As waste moves downward, it pyrolyzes into uniform combustible gas and char, allowing stable combustion even with heterogeneous waste. Gas rises while char flows downward, achieving high thermal efficiency and long furnace residence. Gas burns fully with secondary air, and char becomes ash, leaving almost no residue.

New waste is dried and pyrolyzed by rising high-temperature gas, enabling self-burning of various waste without auxiliary burners.
With a simple structure, the Vertical Furnace achieves low failure rates, short maintenance and start-up times, and lower operating costs.

Purpose

It safely treats a wide range of waste, from municipal solid waste to industrial waste and infectious medical waste.

Feature

Thanks to its proprietary combustion method, it can process a wide variety of waste while leaving almost no unburned residue. With high combustion efficiency, it allows co-combustion and spontaneous ignition of both wet, low-calorie waste and high-calorie waste, without the need for auxiliary burners during normal operation.

Effect

Not only does it reduce the use of burners, but its simple structure—with almost no moving parts in high-temperature zones—results in fewer breakdowns, shorter maintenance and start-up times, and lower operating costs for the incinerator.
