Extending the Life of Buildings:  Installing Energy Saving Plant and Solar Power System

Technology / Service Summary

Upgrading the air conditioning and electrical power supply systems in a large-scale multi-complex facility built more than 25 years ago makes possible its long-term operation sustainable.

Purpose

Achieving sustainable operation and management of Senayan Square – a complex of commercial, office, apartment and hotel facilities opened in 1996 in Jakarta, Indonesia as a 40 year Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) project – by installing: (1) High-efficiency Chiller, (2) High-efficiency Air Conditioner, and (3) Solar Power System.

Feature

This is a Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) Model Project selected by the Ministry of Environment, Japan (MoEJ) and implemented by Kajima Corporation in cooperation with Yuko-Keiso Co., Ltd.

Effect

-- Expected GHG emission reduction: 1,493tCO2/year
-- Providing pleasant office and leisure spaces for the facility tenants and visitors.
