Purpose

Conservation of the global environment and sustainable development of the world economy. Recently, we are focusing on decarbonization and plastic resource recycling with priority.

Feature

We provide information and technology in the form that best suits the needs of the partner country/ region, in collaboration with small and medium-sized enterprises in Japan that possess excellent environmental technology.

[Recent ASEAN related projects]
◆  "ASEAN International Environmental Seminar", implemented in February 2023. (The 50th anniversary of Japan ASEAN Friendship Cooperation Project)
Sub title of the Seminar: Cooperation between ASEAN countries and Japan for “Carbon-free Society and Resource Circulation" through Industry-Government-Academia collaboration

◆ “Workshop on Capacity Development for ASEAN Member States on Identification and Differentiation of Spilled Oil and Tarballs”, implemented in May 2023. (ASEAN-JAIF Program)

◆ Human Resource Development Program towards Zero Emission in Asian Countries: Seminar in the Philippines(Self-funded, with subsidy from AOTS)

◆ Decarbonization Support for Thai SMEs (Self-funded, with subsidy from AOTS, etc.)

◆ Fostering Human Resources in the Green Growth Strategy Sector in the Philippines(Self-funded, with subsidy from AOTS)

Effect

Number of training participants and countries where projects were implemented are as follows.
◆ Domestic Training Programs (Japan):
   Long-term (over one week): More than 2,700 participants from 101 countries and regions
   Short-term (less than one week): More than 1,700 participants from 89 countries and regions
◆ Overseas Seminars:
   Conducted in 11 countries, with over 6,500 participants
◆ Research and Survey Projects, Exchange and Collaboration Projects:
   Implemented in 53 countries
◆ Information Dissemination and Public Awareness Activities:
   Conducted in 13 countries                 (As of the end of March 2025)
