Soil Washing Technology

Technology / Service Summary

Shimizu has a number of technologies to clean up soil/groundwater contaminated with hazardous substances, including dioxin-contaminated soil. Soil washing technology is our representative technology.

Feature

Shimizu's soil washing technology has been used at more than dozens of sites to treat millions of tons of various types of contaminated soil. It is not limited to contaminated soil from industrial activities, but has also been used as a technology for the segregation of disaster waste and the treatment of naturally occurring soil from infrastructure construction.
Overseas, with the approval of the Ministry of Defense of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and in cooperation with the Center for Environmental Treatment Technology (CTET), a Vietnamese government agency, we completed a full-scale demonstration test of soil washing of dioxin-contaminated soil with defoliants at an air base in Dong Nai Province in 2020. The Effectiveness of the product has been confirmed and highly evaluated.
In addition to the soil washing technology, we also offer optimal solutions to environmental issues using chemical, bio-remediation and thermal treatment technologies.
