SSOP®: Steam System Optimization Program
TLV CO., LTD.
TLV International, Inc.
Technology / Service Summary
SSOP® is TLV’s flagship assessment service, a sustainable asset management program that continuously optimizes the performance of the entire steam system through visualization.
Purpose
In this program, TLV’s Consulting ・ Engineering ・ Services (CES) specialists assess and provide visualizations of the performance of clients’ steam systems, optimize these steam systems with innovative solutions, and implement long-term management programs to ensure that the system remains sustainable.
The key concepts of steam system optimization are: "Condition Monitoring" and "Timely Optimization"
Feature
Condition Monitoring (Visualization)
We use diagnostic devices to monitor and visualize the entire steam system in real time. Visualization and analysis of the operating condition of all steam-using equipment reveals opportunities for further improvement.
Timely Optimization (Systematization)
We establish a system that detects early signs of failure, enabling fast and accurate maintenance to be performed before trouble occurs. This supports safe and reliable plant operation, reduces risk and saves energy.
SSOP consists of BPSTM (Best Practices of Steam Trap Management), which supports the steam system infrastructure, and CES Survey, which optimizes the entire steam system.
Effect
Continued implementation SSOP® will reduce condensate-related equipment failures and steam loss, and will improve the safety, reliability and productivity of steam-using equipment, contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions.
