PowerTrap®: Mechanical Pumps (GP Series) and Mechanical Pumps with Built-in Trap (GT Series)

Technology / Service Summary

Mechanically operated with steam or compressed air and do not require electricity.
Enable the recovery of waste heat from condensate discharged from a variety of steam-using equipment.

Purpose

Condensate can be recovered in explosion-proof areas and where electrical wiring presents challenges. (GP)

Reduces condensate pooling in steam-using equipment and prevents internal damage due to phenomena like water hammer or cavitation. (GT)

Feature

Operates via steam or compressed air without using electricity. (GP/GT)

Automatically switches between pump operation and trap operation based on the pressure difference between the equipment pressure and the back pressure. (GT)

Effect

Enables the recovery of waste heat (thermal energy) from condensate discharged from steam-using equipment. (GP/GT)

The life of steam-using equipment can be extended. (GT)
