「EPB」 A Self-supporting disaster prevention tower using renewable energy

Technology / Service Summary

EPB is a platform that connects lives of local residents, workplace staff, and others at EPB installation sites in the event of earthquakes, floods, and other local disasters.

Purpose

What has changed since the new coronavirus pandemic is that companies and nations are placing more emphasis on "contribution value" than "raison d'etre," influencing external evaluations and their own activities. Japan's resilience cannot be separated from geopolitical risks. Lessons learned from the Kumamoto and Tohoku earthquakes have shown that securing "lights" and "power for communication devices" is a priority. For widespread use, resilience needs to be transformed from a "cost" to a "value." EPBs are designed using renewable energy and lithium-ion batteries, and can be used for corporate TCFD and It is an activity that can demonstrate the significance of corporate and national existence through the dissemination of SDGs, CSR, and BCP measures as measures in line with ESG investment.

Feature

EPB (Emergency Power Box) is a platform that connects lives of local residents, workplace staff, and others by means of EPB installations in the event of earthquakes, floods, and other local disasters. Nowadays, smartphones are indispensable for communication, sharing disaster information, and obtaining safety information. In the event of a disaster, information can be fragmented due to lack of battery power in smartphones and other devices.
The EBP includes a basic set of lithium-ion storage batteries, dedicated solar panels, survival SOS lights, high-capacity LED floodlights, and LED bulbs, all of which are essential for survival.

Effect

In an era where ESG involvement is becoming more important than ever, EPBs are increasingly being introduced as a way to carry batteries, be prepared, contribute to society, and fulfill the responsibilities of companies, local governments, and organizations. Disasters are common. The historical background is that Japan, which has experienced many disasters and yet has recovered from them many times, has taken them seriously and established measures to deal with them.
