Separation and Treatment Technology of Dumped Waste

Technology / Service Summary

Shimizu has the regeneration technology to separate combustible materials, non-combustible materials and other substances in illegally dumped industrial and municipal solid waste in the past.

Purpose

Feature

Our separation and treatment technology of dumped industrial and municipal solid waste enable the proper treatment and volume reduction of waste and are environmentally friendly.
Shimizu has a proven track record in the separation and treatment project of tsunami sediments generated by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake in Miyagi prefecture, and in the separation and storage project of radioactive waste generated by the decontamination operations of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.
The know-how of separation and treatment technology cultivated through our past work can be applied to the separation and volume reduction of these waste.
The separated waste is then recycled or utilized as a source of thermal energy.
