In 2009, Eight Consultants Co., Ltd. and Japan Engineering Consultants, Co., Ltd., both of which had a successful business history of more than 50 years, merged to achieve the mission of a construction consultancy business and to develop new business fields. The merged Eight-Japan Engineering Consultants Inc. (EJEC) conducts construction consultancy businesses, which is the principal business of the Group. The E-J Group of which EJEC is the principal company pursues four types of business, i.e. “construction consultancy business” as the core business, “project development business” to identify and develop new projects for the entire Group, “infrastructure management business” to support the management of social capitals of which the market is expected to grow in the coming years and “overseas consultancy business” to further develop rapidly growing overseas markets. EJEC’s business system is capable of providing a one stop service from upstream to downstream.
