Company Summary

At the request of organizations for disabled people, the Ministry of Transport examined a framework for a barrier-free transport system for elevators and escalators in railway stations. As the result, the Foundation for Promoting Amenities of Transport was established with the approval of the Minister of Transport (currently the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport) on September 30, 1994 to promote barrier-free facilities in traffic terminals, in addition to conducting research and providing information concerning barrier-free transport. In 1997, the organization was renamed "Foundation for Promoting Promoting Personal Mobility and Ecological Transportation" and the programs were upgraded by adding the environmental transport promotion program to the barrier-free transport program. Pursuing the objective of barrier-free transport and environmental transport measures, we are expanding our activities to create a social environment that is friendly both to humans and to the earth.
